COVID-19 Testing Information

Depending on your symptoms and exposure history, you may be scheduled for an Acute Illness appointment or a Virtual Voyage Visit. A Healthcare Provider will determine which COVID-19 test is best for you.

COVID-19 Testing

If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or have been exposed to COVID-19, Voyage Healthcare is here to help you. Visits with a Healthcare Provider are offered in-person at our Acute Illness Clinic at our Osseo location, or via Virtual Voyage Visit from the comfort of your own home. *Virtual Voyage Visits are currently only available during the week.  

Depending on your symptoms and the duration of them, your Healthcare Provider may order one of the following COVID-19 tests:

  • COVID-19 Antigen Test: For patients with symptoms that have been present for less than 5 days. This test is collected via nasal swab. Results usually available within 1 hour. 
  • COVID-19 PCR Test: For patients who are not experiencing symptoms or have had symptoms for longer than 5 days. This test is collected via nasal swab. Results usually available in 2-4 days. 

COVID-19 Testing can be completed during your in-person visit or via a *COVID-19 Testing only appointment inside our clinic in Osseo. *COVID-19 Testing only appointments are currently available Monday - Friday.

COVID-19 Antibody Test

A COVID-19 Antibody Test can tell you if you have had a previous infection and is collected with a blood draw. To improve the accuracy of the test, 21 days must have passed since any symptoms of infection. Antibody testing is available at our Crystal, Maple Grove, Plymouth and Osseo locations.

When are Virtual Voyage Visits available if I need one?

Virtual Voyage Visits take place during standard clinic hours; Monday through Friday between 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM.

How are COVID-19 tests and Virtual Voyage Visits billed?

They are billed to your insurance company the same way other tests and office visits are billed.

Is there anything special I need for a Virtual Voyage Visit?

It would be helpful to activate your Voyage Healthcare SmartChart patient portal prior to the visit; however, it is not necessary. The visit can be performed on any computer, iPad or smart phone with a camera and speaker.

Voyage Healthcare has three offices open for your general healthcare needs. Our fourth office, located in Osseo, is open exclusively for patients with COVID-19 symptoms and COVID-19 testing.

We are doing everything possible to protect our patients, our staff and our providers from risk of COVID-19 exposure. All patients are asked screening questions at our doors and we request masks or face protection be worn while in the office.
